2012 NZ Rowing Club of the Year.

    2011-12 Winner of NZ Centennial Scull for gaining the most points in sculling events at the NZ Rowing Championships.

    2013 fourth in the NZ Centennial Oar overall points in all events at NZ Rowing Championship regatta.

    Top club in Southland: it has won the aggregate trophy (for the most points gained at local regattas during the season) for 34 of the past 35 years.

    Two rowers competed at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games- Three rowers competed at 2012 Olympic Games.

    One athlete selected in each of the 2016 NZ Rowing under 19 (Junior) and Under 23 teams. One Coach also selected for Under 23 Women’s Eight.

Opportunities to Compete

Local Regattas – 5 from November to March each year.

Winter Long Distance events – Monthly (Sunday) Oreti River races leading to the Cromwell to Clyde (16km) race on Lake Dunstan at Labour Weekend.

Major Regattas – Otago, Canterbury and South Island Championships (Dec – January)

NZ Club and Secondary School Championships (Feb/March)

Competitive Club Rower

New Zealand Rowing has Novice (first year), Club (2nd year and above), Age Group (under 19, U20 and U22), Senior and Premier Championship events.

The New Zealand Secondary School Championships cater for age group racing at under 15, 16, 17 and 18.
